Police destroyed Mahua Lahan found in villager’s house

Raigarh. On the information of Netram Sahu making and selling Mahua liquor illegally in village Bhedimuda (B) under Lailunga police station area, police station incharge Lailunga inspector Mohan Bhardwaj, assistant sub-inspector Surendra Verma, head constable Jaisharan Chandra, constable Helarius Tirkey, Elias Kerkett, female constable. Action was taken along with Anira Lakra.

When the police station in-charge along with the witnesses raided the house of suspect Netram Sahu and interrogated the suspect regarding the sale of illegal liquor, the suspect admitted to selling Mahua liquor, in whose possession a total of 07 liters was filled in a 05 liter capacity jar and a 02 liter plastic bottle. Illegal Mahua liquor was seized and taken into custody by the police.

Besides, the Mahua Lahan kept for preparing Mahua liquor has been destroyed on the spot. In Lailunga police station, action has been taken against the accused Netram Sahu, father Buddhu Ram Sahu, age 26 years, Sakin village Bhedemuda (B), Lailunga district Raigarh police station under section 34 (2), 59 (a) of the Excise Act.
