Police encounter with cow smuggler, shot in the leg
Rampur. An accused of cow smuggling had an encounter with the police in Civil Lines area of Rampur. In this the cow smuggler was shot in the leg. He was injured by this. He is being treated. The accused was wanted in a cow smuggling case. The police is investigating the case. The police has continuously tightened its grip on cow smugglers. There is panic in the police administration after the swift action. Based on information, Civil Lines Police raided the road from Faizulla Nagar to Juthia. Seeing the team, the bike rider Bhura alias Langra son of Chamraua resident Saida Ali started running away on the bike.
When the police signaled to stop the motorcycle, he turned back and tried to run away. In this attempt, Bhura’s motorcycle slipped and fell. Meanwhile, the bike-riding miscreant opened fire on the police. In retaliation, Bhura was shot in the leg. He got injured in this. A bike, a pistol and cartridges were recovered from his possession. Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi also reached the spot. He took stock of the incident site. The case is being investigated. According to the SP, the accused in the cattle smuggling case was absconding for a long time. The police was looking for him for a long time.
