Police seized huge amount of clothes and Rs 4 lakh cash, checking of vehicles continues

Janjgir-Champa: During the checking campaign in the district, the team of FST and SST got great success in two different places. The first case is of Saragaon police station area. During checking here, the FST team seized a huge quantity of cloth from the car. On the other hand, around Rs 5 lakh cash has been seized from the SST team car in Shivrinarayan police station area.

The FST team, while checking the vehicle late at night near Sara village on the National Highway, has recovered a huge quantity of illegal cloth. The FST team asked the car driver for information about his clothes but he did not present any valid document. After which the car along with the clothes has been seized and handed over to Saragaon Police. Deputy Superintendent of Police Anil Soni said in this matter that a cloth worth Rs 1 lakh 34 thousand was seized from the car driver Sachin Khatri, a resident of Gorakhpur, Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh and action has been taken against the driver under Section 103 IPC.

During vehicle checking in Shivrinarayan police station area, Rs 4 lakh 65 thousand was seized from the car. The SST team has taken action against the recovered amount under Section 102 CrPC and has also informed the Executive Magistrate and GST Department about the matter. In this case, Additional SP Anil Soni said that the SST team was searching suspicious vehicles by creating a blockade in Shabari Chowk of Shivrinarayan. Just then Sumit Wadhwani and Rajesh of Bilaspur arrived in Kaser’s car. During whose search, Rs 4 lakh 65 thousand 850 was recovered. During the action, the police demanded valid documents from them and after not getting sufficient information, they took action under Section 102 IPC. The police has sent information to the GST department to gather information regarding the money.
