Police took major action against liquor smugglers, 9 accused arrested
Raipur. Balod police has taken major action against liquor smugglers. According to the information, liquor was sold by the accused Lomesh Kumar near the bari of village Devinawagaon house.
Was selling. Which was caught under siege by the cyber cell team and police station Balod team. Action was taken against the accused under Crime No.293/2023 Section 34(2) of the Excise Act by seizing 50 pints of country plain liquor worth Rs.4000/- from the possession of accused Lomesh Kumar.
In the same village near Nipani Ashwani Hotel, accused Ballu Ram Sahu father Sadhu Ram age 55 years was selling liquor in the hotel by Sakin Nipani police station Balod. Which was caught under siege by the cyber cell team and the police station team. Action was taken against the accused under Crime No.295/2023 Section 34(2) of the Excise Act by seizing 34 pints of country plain liquor worth Rs.2720/- from the possession of accused Ballu.
Near village Malighori Navodaya Vidyalaya, accused Domendra Singh alias Bhagru father Bhajan Singh Thakur, aged 26 years, was transporting liquor on foot near Malighori Navodaya Vidyalaya by Sakin Malighori police station Balod. Which was caught under siege by the cyber cell team and the police station team. Crime no. 296/2023 Action was taken under Section 34(2) Excise Act.
In front of village Badgaon house accused Dashrath Sahu father Matra Ram Sahu age 40 years was selling liquor in front of the house by Sakin Badgaon police station Daundi Lohara district Balod (Chhattisgarh). Which was caught under siege by the cyber cell team and police station Daundi Lohara team. Action was taken against the accused under Crime No.100/2023 Section 34(2) of the Excise Act by seizing 90 pow country plain liquor worth Rs.7200/- from the possession of accused Dashrath Sahu.
The accused Ravindra Nayak alias Ravi Nayak father Tadko Nayak age 38 years was transporting liquor for sale at Narratola police station Daundi road sign board Chowk Narratola police station Daundi road. Which was caught under siege by the cyber cell team and the police station team. Action was taken against the accused under Crime No.164/2023 Section 34(2) Excise Act by seizing 72 pints of country plain liquor worth Rs.5760/- and one Honda Activa scooty worth Rs.60,000/- from the possession of accused Ravi Nayak.
Accused Bholaram Poya’s father Santosh Kumar Sakin was selling liquor near Chikhli Bazar village platform near Chikhali Bazar Para police station Daundi. Which was caught under siege by the cyber cell team and the police station team. Action was taken against the accused under Crime No.165/2023 Section 34(2) of the Excise Act by seizing 31 pauva country plain liquor worth Rs.2480/- from the possession of accused Bholaram.
In front of village Sikosa railway gate, accused Yadram Sahu father late Ganesh Sahu age 23 years was selling liquor near railway gate Sikosa by Sakin Nipani police station Balod. Which was caught under siege by the cyber cell team and the police station team. Action was taken against the accused under Crime No.271/2023 Section 34(1) of the Excise Act by seizing 19 pints of country plain liquor worth Rs.1520/- from the possession of accused Yuvraj.
Accused Arif Khan father Ghafar Khan age 26 was selling liquor near Dhaba by Sakin Pathan Para police station Bansatpur Rajnadgaon at a common place near village Ranitarai Bunty Dhaba. Which was caught under siege by the cyber cell team and the police station team. Action was taken against the accused under Crime No.159/2023, Section 34(1)(b) of the Excise Act, by seizing 19 paua country plain liquor worth Rs.2280/- from the possession of accused Arif. In this episode, accused Dushyant Kumar Bagde’s father Shambharam Bagde, aged 52 years, was selling liquor near the hotel near village Tatenga Hotel by Sakin Tentaga police station Deori. Which was caught under siege by the cyber cell team and the police station team. Action was taken against the accused under Crime No.160/2023 Section 34(2) of the Excise Act by seizing 40 pints of country plain liquor worth Rs.3200/- from the possession of accused Dushyant.
