Police will conduct voice test of the accused of murdering his wife, know the entire incident
Ujjain: In Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh, the husband accused of murdering a woman has been apprehended and subsequently incarcerated. In order to establish the culpability of the accused and secure a conviction, the police have initiated proceedings to conduct a voice test.
The incident transpired within the jurisdiction of Tarana police station. Vijay Parmar, a resident of Kanjar village, is alleged to have caused the death of his wife, Kavita, by striking her in the head with a stone. The accused harbored suspicions about his wife’s character, which apparently led him to commit this violent act. Subsequently, he notified the police about the incident.
Given the self-confession of the accused, the police registered a murder case against him and subsequently remanded him to judicial custody. The law enforcement authorities have opted to conduct a voice test on the accused to substantiate the charges against him and facilitate his prosecution.
This decision is based on the fact that, as the accused himself had reported the incident to the police, the state police system records all calls made to the police control room in Bhopal when contacting the authorities from any part of the state. Consequently, the police are in the process of gathering crucial evidence for the investigation report, necessitating the voice test of the accused.
