Police’s surprise checking campaign, IPS officers on the road
Bilaspur: Checking of suspicious vehicles is going on continuously in the district. On Saturday, Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh himself went on the road and campaigned in the rural police station areas along with his team.
During checking, action has been taken after checking drink and drive, car with black film, vehicle without number, three rides and violation of traffic rules. Drunken drivers were checked on the spot with the help of breath analyzer machine and the vehicles of those driving in excess of prescribed quantity were seized. A total of 27 vehicles have been seized under 185 Motor Vehicle Act. They will be produced in the court. 65 thousand 200 thousand fine was recovered from 187 vehicle owners under MV Act on black film three ride vehicles without number.
The purpose of surprise checking of vehicles is to curb criminal activity and prevent accidents caused by drink and drive. Additional Superintendent of Police City Rajendra Jaiswal, Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Rahul Dev Sharma, City Superintendent of Police Civil Line Sandeep Kumar Patel (BHP), City Superintendent of Police Kotwali Pooja Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Traffic Sanjay Sahu etc. were included in the checking campaign.
