Polling officer told the voter, you are dead, case of Raipur city
Raipur. For the third phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting is going on for 7 Lok Sabha seats of Chhattisgarh, Raipur, Bilaspur, Korba, Raigarh, Durg, Janjgir-Champa and Surguja. People have been voting by reaching the polling booth since morning, but meanwhile a strange incident has come to light from Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Polling workers stopped a voter from voting by saying that he was dead. Even the voter himself was surprised to hear the news of his death.
According to the information received, the matter pertains to booth number 10 of Mother Teresa Ward of Raipur, where a voter named Sudhir Mandpe had come to exercise his right. First Sudhir stood in line and reached the officials, where after seeing the documents the officials said that you are dead. Hearing this, Sudhir’s head perked up and he asked, am I a ghost? The surprising thing is that only 4 months ago Sudhir had voted for the assembly elections at the same booth and within 120 days the Election Commission proved him dead.
