Pollution Control Board will prepare air quality index before and after Diwali
Shimla. The report on how much pollution has spread in Himachal Pradesh on Diwali will come on Tuesday. Due to holidays, the State Pollution Board has not prepared a report as to what is the difference in the air quality index of which city before and after Diwali. However, a lot of firecrackers have been burnt in the state during Diwali. During this period, incidents of fire have also been reported in many areas of the state.
In such a situation, it is clear that there will be poisonous particles in the air of Himachal for the coming few days. At the same time, officials of the State Pollution Control Board believe that there is going to be a change in the air quality index of many cities of the state. If we talk about the Saturday before Diwali, the air quality in all the cities except two cities of the state was quite good. Before Diwali, the climate of many cities including the capital Shimla was quite clean.
Shimla’s air quality index was 38 micrograms, while Manali’s air quality index was 33 micrograms. The air of Parwanoo was the cleanest before Diwali. The air quality index here was 23 micrograms. The air quality index of Dharamshala was 47 and Damtal was 38 micrograms. According to the State Pollution Control Board, the cities in the state whose air quality index is below 50 micrograms. The air quality there is considered quite good, while the air quality of cities with 50 to 100 micrograms is considered satisfactory. Cities with micrograms more than this fall in the moderate air quality category.
