postponed two trains from June 26 to July 2
Jagdalpur. There is terror of Naxalites in Naxal affected area Bastar district, Railway has postponed 2 passenger trains for a week. South Eastern Railway has postponed two trains from June 26 to July 2 keeping in mind the Janpituri week celebrated by the Maoists.
Passenger and night express up to Kirandul have been suspended in view of Janpituri week celebrated by Maoists from June 26 to July 2 as per the orders of South Eastern Railway. Now both these trains will run between Dantewada to Visakhapatnam. Passengers between Dantewada to Kirandul will have to wait for a week for the start of the train. Significantly, most Maoist incidents often happen between Dantewada to Kirandul station. Because of this, the train is postponed from here. Maoists rarely target passenger trains but cause more damage to goods trains. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, the Railways has postponed the trains.
