Prashant Kishore takes a jibe at caste politics in Bihar
Patna: Prashant Kishore, the famous election strategist who is doing Jan Suraj Padyatra in Bihar, on Thursday took a jibe at the caste politics of Bihar and said that if brass and gold are kept together, then people of any caste will pick up only gold. He further said that there is no such Chief Minister in the country whose caste people are the most in the state. Caste is prominent in elections in the country. I do not say that caste does not dominate politics, but the fact that caste decides politics is not completely true.
He said that people in the country and Bihar have very cleverly put this thing in the minds of the people so that new people do not even try to come into politics. Have the people of Bihar ever thought that how many people of Nitish Kumar’s caste live in Bihar? How many people of Lalu Yadav’s caste live in Bihar. Prashant Kishor said that whenever you feel that we can do politics only when there are more people of our caste, then you will not find any truth in this. Among all the Chief Ministers in different states of the country, there is no Chief Minister whose caste is the highest in that state. It is our illusion that we can come into politics only when there are more people of our caste.
It is worth mentioning that Prashant Kishor is trying to make his mark in politics through padyatra. He has announced to launch the party on Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary i.e. 2 October. He has been traveling to Bihar for a long time.
