Pregnant woman raped, set on fire in Madhya Pradesh
Madhya-Pradesh: In an very unfortunate incident, a pregnant woman was allegedly gang-raped and later set on fire in Morena district of Madhya-Pradesh. The victim, has sustained 80 per cent burns, is undergoing treatment in Gwalior, an official said.
The incident took place in Chand Ka Pura village of Morena district on Friday. According to Inspector Alok Parihar, , the victim had gone to another village to negotiate with a woman who had accused her husband of rape.
The victim was allegedly raped by three men who were present in the woman’s house. Later the accused woman and three men poured fuel on her and set her ablaze. Later, a video was share with the police, in which the victim was being rushed to the hospital and she has mentioned that she was first gang-raped and then the accused woman and three men set her on fire. While the victim has recorded her statement with the magistrate, the police were yet to record her statement.
The police said that they have started a probe into the matter and they will very soon nab the accused persons.
