Preparations underway for C. Joseph Vijay’s Delhi visit, likely to discuss development projects

Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay is reported to be arriving in Delhi later this month for a three-day visit. During this visit, he is expected to meet with top central leadership and discuss development projects related to the state.
According to sources, his visit may include meetings with Narendra Modi and some key Union ministers. A meeting with President Thiruvalluvar Murmu is also expected.
Following the assembly election results, the Tamil Nadu Victory Party, led by C. Joseph Vijay, secured 108 seats, while a majority of 118 seats was required to form a government. This prompted the party to begin garnering support from other political parties.
Following this, the Congress (5 seats), the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (2 seats), the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (2 seats), the Communist Party of India (2 seats), and the Indian Union Muslim League (2 seats) claimed support. Amidst political dynamics, C. Joseph Vijay was finally sworn in as Chief Minister, accompanied by nine ministers.
The 17th Legislative Assembly was formed on May 10, and the MLAs were subsequently sworn in. Now, discussions have intensified in political circles regarding the Delhi visit, which is likely to discuss a number of issues related to state development and central-state cooperation.
