Know its recipe. necessary ingredients Pumpkin – 2 cups sugar 3/4 cup Desi ghee – 1/2 cup Mawa (khoya) – 3/4 cup Milk – 3 cups Almonds – 14-15 Cashew – 14-15 Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp recipe To make Banarasi style halwa, first take a pumpkin and cut it and remove the soft pulp from the front and then peel off the top. After this, cut pieces of pumpkin and put them in the mixer and grind them to make a smooth paste. After this, cut finely pieces of cashews and almonds and keep them aside. Now put milk in a pan and keep it on medium flame to heat. While heating the milk, keep stirring it occasionally with the help of a spoon. When the milk starts boiling, add the prepared paste of pumpkin in it and mix it well. After this let it cook. Keep in mind that keep stirring it otherwise the pumpkin paste may stick to the pan. When the pudding starts getting thick, turn off the gas. Now take another pan and put ghee in it and heat it on medium flame. When the ghee melts, add dry fruits and fry them and take them out in a plate. Now put mawa in ghee and fry it. After some time add sugar as per taste and let it cook. After cooking for 1-2 minutes, reduce the flame of the gas and add the thick milk-pumpkin mixture and mix. Mix well and let the halwa cook. Finally mix dry fruits and cardamom powder and turn off the gas. The flavourful Banarasi Halwa is ready. Put it in a bowl and garnish it with dry fruits and enjoy it.
