President’s winter stay at Rashtrapati Nilayam ends

Hyderabad: President Draupadi Murmu’s annual stay at Rashtrapati Nilayam ended on Saturday and she returned to the national capital. Telangana Governor, Tamilisai Sundarajan, Minister Principal, A Revanth Reddy, his Cabinet colleagues and several other dignitaries gave the President a warm farewell at the Air Force Station, Hakimpet here. The President arrived in Hyderabad on December 18 as part of his annual stay in Surat and was hosted at the Rashtrapati Nilayam located in Bolarum, Secunderabad. During his stay, the President visited the unit of Hilo and Telar Manual as well as the themed pavilion at Pochampalli in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district on 20 December. Soon after the liberation of the princely state of Hyderabad, following the advent of the flag of Hyderabad, a replica of the flag pole, in which it became the tricolor flag, was inaugurated among various tourist attractions inaugurated by President Draupadi Murmu on 21 December. The building (Rashtrapati Nilayam), constructed in 1860, has a total surface area of 90 acres. It is a single plant building and has 11 rooms. It also has a dining hall, cinema hall, durbar hall and dining hall.
