Prices of Mercedes-Benz cars will increase from 2024
Mercedes-Benz India has recently announced that the prices of its select models will increase from January 1, 2024. The rate increase will be up to two percent. The price increase will take into account the increase in input costs, commodity costs and logistics costs. The increase in these costs has been due to high inflationary pressures. The price increase is expected to maintain a profitable business for the company. Mercedes-Benz India has claimed that the price hike for the GLS SUV will be in the range of Rs 2.6 lakh to Rs 3.4 lakh versus the top-end imported Mercedes-Maybach S 680. “Higher cost pressures due to rising input costs, logistics costs, inflationary pressure along with commodity pricing have been the reason for the increase in the overall price of vehicles. To maintain our profitable business operations and maintain the price position, a slight price adjustment is necessary for select models,” said Santosh Iyer, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India. He further added, “Our “Tailored financing solutions will ensure the lowest cost of ownership for customers.”
