Priest of Khatu Shyam Temple embraces death

Sonipat. The dead body of a temple priest was found hanging under suspicious circumstances in village Nakloi. The news of the priest’s suicide spread like wildfire in the entire village. After the information, there was a mournful silence among the villagers. After being informed by the villagers, the Sadar police station reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. After this, Sadar Police has started investigating the matter thoroughly.

According to the information received, Akash Mishra had come to Sonipat one and a half years ago. First of all he worked in Sonipat Sai Temple and after that he was a priest for one and a half years in Khatu Shyam Temple located in Nakaloi village. According to the villagers, the age of the deceased priest Akash was about 20 years. When the villagers reached the temple on Wednesday morning, they came to know that the priest had committed suicide by hanging himself in the village temple itself. After which Sadar police station was informed about this. Sadar police station reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it to Sonipat Civil Hospital for post-mortem. Akash’s family members say that he used to work as a priest in village Nakloi for one and a half years.

Police has given information about suicide. On last 25th, Akash was talked to and no such thing came to his notice due to which he committed suicide. The reasons for suicide have not been revealed yet. Giving information about the case, Sub Inspector Satish Kumar said that information was received from village Nakloi that the priest had hanged himself inside the room of Khatu Shyam Temple located in the village. The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. On the basis of the statement of the family members, action under Section 174 is being taken. The reasons for suicide have not been revealed. Police are interrogating family members and villagers.
