Procter & Gamble India appoints Kumar Venkatasubramaniam as CEO

Mumbai: Procter & Gamble India on Monday announced that Kumar Venkatasubramaniam will take over as CEO of its operations in the country from May 1. He succeeds LV Vaidyanathan, who will leave the company to pursue other interests after 28 years of service. P&G said in a statement. An IIM Calcutta alumnus with nearly 24 years of experience, Venkatasubramaniam is currently leading the P&G business in Australia and New Zealand as CEO.

Prior to the Australia role, Venkatasubramaniam led the sales team at P&G India until 2020. “Venkatasubramaniam is no stranger to the India organization, having spent many years building and implementing our business strategies here. India’s businesses and people will benefit immensely from his leadership and vision,” said Stanislav Vecera, P&G President, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

Under Venkatasubramaniam’s leadership, many programs were expanded to have a significant impact on employees and the community. This includes P&G ANZ’s largest corporate partnership to date with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. “I look forward to getting back into the market, learning more about Indian consumers and catering to their needs. Venkatasubramanian said, the Indian organization is growing rapidly, delivering consistent results and balanced growth at the top and bottom levels. He said, “We will focus on a portfolio of daily-use products where performance drives brand choice and elevates all aspects of our superiority strategy – product, package, brand communication, retail execution and value. “
