Property worth Rs 11 crore of notorious criminal attached
Moradabad : Property worth Rs 11 crore of the main accused and history-sheeter former block chief Lalit Kaushik, his family and wife, who conspired in the murder of famous businessman Kushank Gupta and CA Shwetabh Tiwari, has been confiscated. Accused Lalit Kaushik had purchased the property of his brother and sister along with his wife. Civil Lines Police has announced this by playing drums in the presence of the administrative officer.
Let us tell you that on May 1, 2023, action was taken against Lalit Kaushik and his associates under the Gangster Act, in which the police claimed that the accused had purchased land, vehicle and house with illegal money. Apart from this, illegal accounts I had also deposited money in illegal accounts. Also let us tell you that this case was investigated by Majhola police station in-charge. Investigation revealed that the accused formed his own gang and carried out the murders with the aim of gaining financial benefits. There are 16 cases registered against Lalit Kaushik in different police stations.
In which a case has been registered under other sections including murder, kidnapping, rape. The accused had acquired illegal property in the name of his associate along with his family and wife. Apart from this, money was deposited in illegal accounts, amounting to Rs 11 crore 3 lakh 60 thousand 433. Let us tell you that Rs 29.34 lakh has been frozen in 8 bank accounts. About 25 properties of the history-sheeter have been identified. Attachment action took place in Ramganga Vihar, Agwanpur. The house and plot in Naya Moradabad were attached. History-sheeter Lalit Kaushik is lodged in Balrampur jail.
