Provision to rent after construction work on the land of Waqf Board – Waqf Minister
Waqf Minister Mr. Shale Mohammad clarified in the Vidhan Sabha on Monday that according to the provision of Section 32 of the Waqf Act 1995, the land of the Waqf Board can be given on rent after carrying out any construction work.
The Waqf Minister, in a written reply to the original question of MLA Mohan Ram Choudhary during the Question Hour, said that the amount received from the Waqf property is used for the development, protection and maintenance of Waqf property and for religious, pious and philanthropic works and other lawful public utility purposes.
He said that this amount is being used for public welfare work. The Waqf Minister laid on the table of the House the details of the utilization of the said amount by the Waqf Board in the state of Rajasthan in the last three financial years.
