PSPCL sets up control room for wheat field fire

Punjab: In view of the fire accidents that occur every year due to burning of standing wheat crop due to short-circuit in electrical wires, the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has set up a control room where farmers can monitor loose electrical wires. Can report wires.

PSPCL has advised farmers to keep the area around the transformer clear of any dry grass so that sparks generated from electrical short-circuits do not cause fire. Officials advised that the area around transformers be kept wet to prevent fire even if sparks arise.
