Punjab gets three new ADGPs
“The Punjab Government announced today the promotion of three distinguished police officers to the esteemed rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), further bolstering the leadership within the Punjab Police force. These promotions contribute to a total of 21 ADGPs currently serving in various capacities across the state, complemented by 15 Special DGPs and the Head of State Police, DGP Gaurav Yadav.
The newly promoted officers, Nilabh Kishore, Shive Kumar Verma, and Jaskaran Singh, bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their elevated roles.
Nilabh Kishore is currently spearheading the investigation into the alleged nexus involving dismissed police officers Raj Jit Singh and Inderjit Singh, collaborating with other law enforcement officials and individuals associated with drug smuggling.
Shive Kumar Verma, with his commendable service record, has earned the distinction of being elevated to the rank of ADGP, contributing his skills and dedication to the overall security and law enforcement efforts in the state.
Jaskaran Singh, appointed as the chairman of the five-member Special Investigation Team (SIT), is actively leading the probe into the high-profile Sidhu Moosewala murder case, showcasing his leadership and investigative acumen.
