Punjab: Preparations complete for Guru Tegh Bahadur’s martyrdom day

Punjab: Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Monday said that elaborate arrangements have been made to commemorate the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur in November. A team comprising Minister Harjot Bains, Harbhajan Singh ETO and Tarunpreet Singh Sond will begin a thorough inspection of four major Nagar Kirtan routes.
“We will review all arrangements, including development projects, road construction and logistics arrangements. We will also hold talks with Deputy Commissioners and MLAs to ensure smooth and successful coordination for this historic occasion,” Bains told the media. Bains said that the Punjab government will celebrate Guru Tegh Bahadur’s martyrdom day on a grand scale and honour his supreme sacrifice as “Hind ki Chadar”.
