Kanker. The Forest Department team has taken major action in the case of illegal girl trafficking. The departmental team has caught the driver with illegal teak wood. According to the information, the department had received information that teak wood was being transported in a tractor from the forest of village Puswara.

On receiving the information, the department conducted a raid and seized 20 pieces of teak wood from the tractor along with the accused driver near village Pusavand. The driver was taking this wood to Jashpur. The total value of the seized illegal teak is said to be more than Rs 1 lakh. At present the Forest Department is taking further action in this matter.
