Putting garbage in drain became costly, corporation took action
Bhilai Nagar: After taking action against those blocking the drains of the corporation area, the health staff collected Rs. 14 thousand as fine, so that rain water does not accumulate during the rainy days, keeping this in mind, the Municipal Corporation Bhilai has taken action against the people blocking the drains of the entire area. Small and big drains are being cleaned.
Fine action is also being taken against those who carry out illegal construction by placing goods on the drain or who cause choking by dumping garbage. The Commissioner is visiting the area and monitoring the cleaning work.

When Zone Commissioner of Zone-2 Yesha Lahare reached Vrindanagar Gaurav Path with her cleaning team, she found that the owner of Rajni Tiles shop had placed the selling material on the drain, which was creating obstruction in cleaning the drain. He was fined Rs 2,000 as penalty. Recovered. Similarly, 5 thousand rupees were recovered from Supela Maya Yadav, 5 thousand rupees from Mintu Singh in Kailash Nagar and 2 thousand rupees from Ashok Kumar, thus 14 thousand rupees were recovered as fine.
It may be noted that the health staff of the zone continuously visited the area and counseled the people who were creating obstructions in the drain and gave them time to remove the illegal construction and bidding material, but when there was no change in the situation on re-check, the drain was blocked. Action has been taken against the culprits to recover the fine. On the instructions of the Commissioner, keeping in mind the size of the drains in all the zone areas, deep cleaning work of the drains is being done by employing JCB machines and workers as per requirement.
