Ingredients for Quinoa Chilla
Quinoa – 2 cups
Urad dal- 1/2 cup
Black pepper- 1/2 tsp
Capsicum – 1/3 cup, finely chopped
Carrot – 1 medium size, finely chopped
Green peas – 1/3 cup, finely chopped
Green chilli – 1 teaspoon, finely chopped
Onion- 1 medium size, finely chopped
Ginger- 1 tsp, finely chopped
Coriander leaves – finely chopped
Beans- 1/3 cup, finely chopped
Peanuts- 1/3 cup, roasted
Ghee or olive oil- 2 to 3 spoons
Curry leaves- 8-10
water as per requirement
salt as per taste
How to make Quinoa Chilla
– First soak quinoa and urad dal in water. When it swells well, filter it and separate the peels. Now put it in the mixer and prepare a paste.
– Now take a pan and heat olive oil or ghee in it. When it becomes hot, add finely chopped ginger, curry leaves and green chillies. Now add onion, carrot, beans, capsicum and peas. Then add turmeric powder to it, add black pepper and fry the vegetables on medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
– Mix peanuts in roasted vegetables and add it to the prepared quinoa and urad dal paste. Now add salt as per taste and add coriander leaves on top and mix it.
– Now take a pan, put it on medium flame and pour ghee or olive oil on it and spread it all around. When it becomes well heated, add the prepared batter into it and spread it thinly. Cook it till it turns red and then turn it and cook the other side also.
