Rahul Gandhi’s statement provocative, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary made baseless allegations – Ravi Shankar Prasad

New Delhi (IANS). Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad hit back at the allegations made by Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary regarding the discussion on Manipur in the House and the no-confidence motion.

He has said that the Congress leader has made baseless allegations, the Parliament is for both the ruling party and the opposition, the opposition should speak its mind. But, it is also necessary that he listens to the ruling party as well.

He said that the opposition does not listen to anyone, first he said to call the PM and when the Prime Minister was speaking on Manipur, the opposition did not listen, did a walkout.

Prasad said that go to the speaker and create ruckus, make noise, do not let anyone else speak and then allege that they are not allowed to speak, this is the double character of the opposition.

Describing the conduct of the opposition as irresponsible, he said that the opposition runs away at the time of discussion.

Talking to reporters in Delhi, former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad also made a scathing attack on former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi, saying that Rahul Gandhi’s speech was provocative. He used very aggressive words and does not have democratic thinking.

Continuing his attack on Rahul, Prasad said that Rahul Gandhi neither understands the country nor understands the situation in the country. His forefathers have divided the country once. But, now we will not allow the division of the country again.

He said that the party will go across the country regarding Rahul’s speech. Continuing the political attack on Rahul Gandhi, Prasad further said that Rahul Gandhi has become a leader not by his ability but by the grace of his family.

Reversing Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary’s statement, Prasad also said that from which law he is saying that no bill can be brought after no-confidence motion, where is it written?

He said that the rule of no-confidence motion says that when the Speaker allows it, it can be debated anytime within 10 days.

He said that the party which has been given full majority by the people of the country for the second time, will it not be allowed to work? Will they (Opposition) not allow debate in Parliament?
