Raid in old colony house, 11 gamblers arrested

Raipur: 11 gamblers have been arrested while gambling in Bandhwapara under Purani Basti police station area. According to the information, the team of Anti Crime and Cyber Unit received information that some people were gambling by betting money in a house located in Bandhwapara under Old Basti area of the police station. On which Additional Superintendent of Police West Jai Prakash Carpenter, Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Pitambar Patel, City Superintendent of Police Old Basti Rajesh Chaudhary and Deputy Superintendent of Police Crime Dinesh Sinha, in-charge Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and station in-charge Old Basti caught the gamblers red handed while gambling. Directed to arrest.

On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Purani Basti police station went to the said place and conducted a raid in the house. During the raid, some people in the room were gambling by betting money in playing cards. On which a total of 11 gamblers were arrested by the team members and cash amount of Rs. 1,48,200/-, 05 nos. of mobile phones and 02 nos. of two-wheeler Jumla worth about Rs. 2,70,000/- and playing cards were seized from their possession and a case was registered against the gamblers in the police station. In Purani Basti, crime number 397/23, section 04 and 05 of Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act was registered and action was taken.

6. Late father of Makrad Takiwale. Kishore Takiwale, age 39 years, resident of Brahmanpara Chowk, Hanuman Mandir, near police station Azad Chowk, Raipur.
7. Raju Yadav, father Moti Yadav, age 30 years, resident of Nav Durga Chowk police station, Old Basti, Raipur, near Sai Mandir.
8. Sajjad Khan, father Sattar Khan, age 31 years, resident of Sanjay Nagar Masjid, police station Tikrapara, Raipur.
9. Kuldeep Baghmar, father Gendlal Baghmar, age 28 years, resident of Mahamaipara police station, old colony, Raipur.
