Raid on 52 fertilizer shops, license of shops suspended
Hathras : There is still a shortage of fertilizer in Hathras and complaints about its black marketing are also reaching the authorities. Regarding this, today a team of fertilizer inspectors conducted surprise raids on fertilizer establishments from morning to evening. Deputy Agriculture Director, Hansraj conducted surprise raids on 52 shops in Sadabad, District Agriculture Officer, Hathras, District Agriculture Defense Officer, Rajesh Kumar, Sasni and Additional District Agriculture Officer, Rahul Pratap Singh, in Sikandrarau. On this occasion 11 samples of fertilizers were taken. Show cause notices were issued to 5 fertilizer sellers due to incomplete records.
Apart from this, two fertilizer sellers. The licenses of Solanki fertilizer store and Gopal fertilizer store, Jalesar Road have been suspended. Today this action created panic among fertilizer sellers. District Agriculture Officer RK Singh has directed fertilizer sellers to mandatorily maintain stock register, sales register and receipts. Fertilizer wise sales rate of fertilizers and marking rate of stock should be posted on the stock board daily at wholesale and retail fertilizer sellers and fertilizer sales centers. He has said that products like zinc, zyme, sulphur, micronutrients etc. should be made available to the farmers as per their demand. Action will be taken against fertilizer sellers under Fertilizer Control Order, 1985 and Essential Commodities Act, 1955 for tagging other products with Urea, DAP and selling more than the prescribed rates.
