Railway police caught jewelery worth lakhs
Bilaspur. As part of the pre-election campaign on Saturday, Inspector Bhaskar Soni and Manisha Meena Sawani, Assistant Inspector TR Kule and SIB S were in-charges of Railway Protection Force Post Bilaspur and Special Team Bilaspur. During inspection by Pandey near PRS building of Bilaspur police station area, name was revealed – Sumit Kumar Balcha, father – Anil Kumar Balcha, age – 33 years, resident – Ward 14 Bodri, police station – Chakrabata, district – Bilaspur. 290 grams of gold jewelery was seized.
The price of the discovered gold is Rs 1 lakh 508 thousand 847. Apart from this, the team also discovered 15,966 kg of silver jewellery. Its price is said to be Rs 9,015,450. The team found jewelery worth a total of Rs 2,40,24,297. When asked about the jewellery, the defendant was unable to give any concrete answers or even provide legal documentation. After this, the gold and silver jewelery was confiscated and handed over to the Assembly Returning Officer, serial no. Bilaspur. 02 Squadron team for further processing.
