Director General of India Meteorological Department (IMD) Mrityunjay Mohapatra said that the southwest monsoon is still active and there has been good rainfall in central India in the last 24 hours. Monsoon has arrived in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh as well as in Delhi. Our forecast is that the monsoon will advance further in the next two days. Rain will continue in Delhi for the next 2 days.

Now the Meteorological Department says that the rainy season will continue in Delhi-NCR for the next two days.

At the same time, the monsoon has entered Maharashtra today. The effect of this is that it is raining heavily since yesterday in many areas of the state including Mumbai. In view of the possibility of heavy rains, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in many districts of the state.
