Rain is likely in the coastal districts of southern Tamil Nadu today.

Tamil Nadu: The Chennai Meteorological Department has stated that there is a possibility of rain in the coastal districts of southern Tamil Nadu on Sunday (March 15).
The center issued a press release on Saturday: A low-level atmospheric circulation persists over the coastal regions of South India. Consequently, light rain is likely to occur at one or two places in the coastal districts of southern Tamil Nadu on Sunday (March 15). Subsequently, on March 16, rain is expected at one or two places in the Nilgiris and the southern districts. In other districts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal, dry weather conditions will prevail. Heatwave: On Saturday, the highest temperature in Tamil Nadu—100.58 degrees Fahrenheit—was recorded in Vellore. Additionally, heatwave conditions were observed at a total of three locations—including Paramathi Vellore and Madurai Airport—where temperatures reached 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit. Furthermore, on March 15, maximum temperatures across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal are expected to remain above normal levels.
On March 15, the maximum temperature in Chennai and its surrounding areas is expected to hover around 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
