Rain of migratory birds, butterflies on Thovalai hills of Tamil Nadu
Kanniyakumari: A group of passionate nature lovers were diverted on Sunday during a trip to the Thovalai Hills in the district, organized by the Kanniyakumari Nature Foundation (KNF). Observed more than 50 species of native and migratory birds and identified more than 40 species of butterflies roaming in the mountains.

Vinod Sadasivan, founder of KNF, told TNIE that the event was a celebration of biodiversity and was attended by over 30 participants. “Members of the Center de Conservación Comunitaria Agasthyamalai (ACCC) were present at the event.
