Raipur: 2 accused who robbed truck driver and helper arrested
Raipur: Mandir Hassaud police station staff has succeeded in arresting 2 accused, residents of Mandir Hassaud, out of the 4 accused who stopped the dumper that was going to fill ballast near Ravanabhatha Mandir Hassaud on midnight of 13th September and robbed the driver and helper. The remaining two accused have absconded due to fear of arrest and raids are underway to nab them.
Dumper driver Lalit Nishad had filed a report that on the night of 13th September, he was going to Nakati Road Goyal Ballast Mine to fill ballast via the airport in the dumper along with his helper, when at around 2.30 in the night, 4 unknown persons attacked the dumper near Mandir Hasaud Ravanabhatha. They came in front and stopped the dumper, entered the dumper with a knife, threatened to kill him and looted mobile phone and cash from his helper. After registering a crime under section 392/34 of the Indian Penal Code, police station in-charge Rohit Malekar along with his staff started investigation and informed his senior officers including Superintendent of Police Prashant Aggarwal. During investigation, the involvement of 19 year old Suraj Sonwani of Mandir Hasaud in this crime was revealed. After being arrested and interrogated strictly, he admitted to carrying out the incident along with 3 other accused. Another accused involved in the incident, 18-year-old Raju alias Pradeep Sarathi, a resident of Mandir Hasaud, has also been arrested.
