Raipur AIIMS employee arrested, accused was posted in accountant department
Raipur: Police have arrested AIIMS Junior Accounts Officer Yogendra Patel and started questioning him. So far, embezzlement of more than Rs 27 lakh has been detected, but this amount is expected to be more than Rs 5 crore. There is also a suspicion of collusion of many other employees and officers in this. AIIMS management had lodged a named complaint in the police station.
Actually, the matter is that before leaving the job in AIIMS, as per the rules, doctors have to inform the management through an application three months in advance. If the doctor leaves the job without completing this period, then the amount of salary to be paid in the remaining days of the notice period has to be paid. Many doctors of AIIMS had left the job during the notice period. After taking the amount from the doctors, instead of new receipt, three-four years old receipt was given and that amount was not deposited in the AIIMS account. Similarly, the doctors who had deposited the demand draft were returned the demand draft after some time.
