Raipur: Fake check given to buyer, FIR registered

Raipur: After canceling the purchase order of iron ore, a fake check was handed over. When the amount was not returned even after a year, the buyer filed a case under section 420. According to the police, Sparsh Baldev Export Private Limited entered into a high quality iron ore purchase agreement with Odisha Ore and Minerals Limited in December last year.

This agreement was signed by Ganesh Sona, Jogendra Jain, and Shri Krishna alias Babu Parida, authorized personnel of both the firms, at Hotel Jalaram located at Fafadih Chowk at 2 pm on December 1-22. According to this, five thousand MT high quality iron ore was to be supplied. For this, advance of Rs 80 lakh was taken from Sparsh Baldev through finance. Odisha Ors sent the goods. But it turned out to be of poor quality. On this Sparsh Baldev asked to cancel the order and return the advance. But Odisha Ors did not return the amount even after ten months. On this, Ganesh lodged a report on behalf of Sparsh Baldev at Ganj police station last night. Police registered an offense under section 420,409,120B against Jogendra Jain, and Shri Krishna alias Babu Parida.
