According to the information, the team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit received information that some persons riding in a four-wheeler kept hemp in the vehicle and were smuggling it from Odisha to Raipur. On which Additional Superintendent of Police City/Crime Abhishek Maheshwari, Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Neeraj Chandrakar and Deputy Superintendent of Police Crime Dinesh Sinha directed the Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit in-charge and the station in-charge Arang to verify the information and catch the accused red-handed with ganja. to be done.
On which, under the direction of senior officers, the joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Thana Arang Police, along with blockade in the area to catch the vehicle and the persons in the vehicle, along with patrolling the vehicles, the smugglers were being detected. Meanwhile, the team members tried to stop the vehicle after seeing the vehicle coming near Paragaon Mod under Police Station Arang area. But the driver of the vehicle started running away by driving the vehicle at an excessive speed, on which the vehicle was stopped by the police team chasing their vehicle continuously. There were 02 male and 01 female passengers inside the vehicle. During interrogation, the persons told their names to be Amit Kumar Sahu, Rajesh Sahu and Kalpana Bagh. When the team members searched the vehicle, it was found that Ganja and 01 pistol were kept in the vehicle. On which the team members arrested the three accused and seized 08 kg 500 grams of Ganja and Duster vehicle number CG/17/KH/5032 Jumla worth Rs 5,00,000/- and 01 pistol used in smuggling Ganja from their possession. Action was taken against the tax accused by registering crime number 459/23 Section 20B Narcotics Act and 25 Arms Act in Police Station Arang. The accused have been told to bring ganja and pistol from the state of Odisha.
