Raipur police disclosed, 8 accused arrested for fraudulently transacting crores of rupees

Raipur. 8 accused have been arrested for fraudulently opening bank accounts by misusing personal documents and making transactions worth crores of rupees. According to the police, Arun Jal lodged a report at the police station Khamtarai that he lives in Trimurti Nagar Raipur and does welding work. The applicant’s wife Sangeeta Jal used to work in Rajat Agarwal’s house last 01 year ago, due to which the applicant was identified with Rajat Agarwal. Rajat Agarwal met the applicant about 02 months ago near Waltier Gate DRM office and said that he urgently needed a bank account in which he would return it after doing the transaction for a few days. Then the applicant trusting him gave his PAN card, Aadhaar card, passport size photo as told and Rajat Agarwal brought the form of FDFC Bank Devendra Nagar and signed the applicant, Rajat Agarwal opened the applicant’s bank account and his wife Sangeeta Jal also opened the same. Thus, he opened an account in HDFC Bank and later kept the account’s passbook, ATM card with him and Rajat Agarwal also got the mobile number inserted in the accounts, whose number was inserted, nothing was told to the applicant in this regard. Meanwhile, after a few days, Rajat Aggarwal informed the applicant about the closure of his bank account. On which the applicant went to HDFC Bank Devendra Nagar branch and found out, then the bank manager was told to stop the transaction of excessive money in his account, on which the applicant asked Rajat Agarwal about the transactions done in the said bank accounts, then Rajat Agarwal avoided – Began to be fattened. In this way, Rajat Aggarwal cheated the applicant and his wife by misusing the account without their knowledge and earning profit by doing transaction/withdrawal of money. On which crime number 685/23 Section 420 Bhadvi was registered against the accused Rajat Agarwal in police station Khamtarai. Offense was registered.

During interrogation, the accused Rajat Aggarwal along with his accomplices Himanshu Singh, Mantu Manjhi, Madan Kumar Yadav, Mohd. Umair, Mohit Tank, Moh. Along with Farhan and Upendra Das, it was accepted to commit the said incident. On which other accused Himanshu Singh, Mantu Manjhi, Madan Kumar Yadav, Moh. Umair, Mohit Tank, Moh. Farhan and Upendra Das were also caught after faking their addresses.

The accused operate an office by the name of Burnt Black in Mova, Pandri. In which they get people’s personal documents by telling them many tempting schemes including getting them loans under their guise and by opening their bank accounts in different banks without the knowledge of the people, all the documents related to that bank account are passbooks, checkbooks and ATM. Keeping the card with him, he used to register his people’s mobile numbers in the bank account and used the bank accounts for online betting money transactions.

Money transactions of Mahadev Online Satta App have been found in the bank accounts used by the accused. In which case, sections 07 and 08 of the Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act and 34 Bhadvi. has also been added.

Along with making detailed inquiries regarding the other accused involved in the case from the arrested accused, as well as detailed investigation of the bank accounts and accounts of the holders of the bank accounts used for the transaction of money, if their involvement is found in the case. Action will also be taken against the individuals.

After arresting all the accused, Rs.14,44,000/- in cash, 21 nos. mobile phones, 05 nos passbooks, 12 nos. A.T.M. Card, 12 nos check book, 03 nos laptop, 02 nos computer system and 03 nos diary Jumla worth about Rs 22,00,000/- were seized and action was taken against them.

  2. Himanshu Singh father Shailendra Singh age 24 years resident of Aman Nagar Mova police station Pandari Raipur.
  3. Mantu Manjhi S/o Shyam Lal Manjhi, aged 29 years, r/o Khariar Road, Odisha.
  4. Madan Kumar Yadav father Vasudev Yadav age 25 years resident of Krishak Nagar Jora police station Telibandha Raipur.
  5. Moh. Farhan father Mohd. Yusuf age 28 years resident Rajatalab Civil Line Raipur.
  6. Moh. Umair father Mohd. Salim age 19 years resident of village Kesla police station Kharora Raipur.
  7. Upendra Das father Chaitu Das age 32 years resident of Balpur police station Sarsinwa district Sarangarh.
  8. Mohit Tank father Rasink Tank age 29 years resident Mova Saddu police station Pandari Raipur.
