Raipur: Today there will be no water supply in 4 areas
Raipur: Water supply in some areas of capital Raipur will be affected from Tuesday morning. The Municipal Corporation is getting the main pipeline repaired to fill 47 MLD. Due to which the situation of water shutdown will continue in Sanjay Nagar and surrounding areas.
A 700 mm thick rising pipeline was damaged on Sunday night near Sailani Mohalla of Sanjay Nagar. The Municipal Corporation was engaged in repairing the whole day on Monday, but could not improve. One of the reasons why this work took time was also that this pipe passed through narrow streets. Due to which the foundation of old houses is also there. For this reason, the workers of the corporation are taking more care.
Corporation’s Water Department Chairman Satnam Singh Panag also arrived to see the repair works of the pipeline. He told that due to this work, water supply will not be available in the water tank located in Sanjay Nagar, due to which water supply will not be possible in many areas of Tikrapara, Dharamnagar, Mahamaya Nagar ward today, August 29. He said that the Municipal Corporation is arranging water tankers in the affected areas. So that people have the least trouble.
