Ghaziabad: Rakesh Tikait, national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, reached the Ghaziabad court on Tuesday. He had come to the court to record his statement regarding the threats he received during the farmer’s movement.
In fact, on May 27, 2021, Bhakiyu activist Prajwal alias Mannu Tyagi lodged an FIR in this regard at Ghaziabad’s Kaushambi police station, according to which Rakesh Tikait was receiving continuous threatening messages from an unknown number on WhatsApp since May 4. On June 4, 2021, the Ghaziabad police arrested Jitendra Kumar, resident of Janakpuri Delhi, who is an engineer by profession, in this case. Jitendra Kumar told that he did not agree with the ongoing demands of Rakesh Tikait regarding the agricultural bills. That’s why threatening messages were sent on the ticket number.
When these threats were received, Rakesh Tikait was protesting at the Ghazipur border in Ghaziabad, so a case was registered at Kaushambi police station. Its hearing is also going on in Ghaziabad court. It is being told that Rakesh Tikait had reached the local court of Ghaziabad on Tuesday in this matter.
