CHENNAI: Many students passing out from colleges affiliated to Bharathidasan University could not pursue higher education or take up jobs as they have not yet been provided consolidated mark sheets and provisional certificates, PMK founder S Ramadoss said, urging the university to rectify the issues. requested. ,

In a statement, the senior leader said that consolidated marksheets and provisional certificates are yet to be handed over to 50,000 students out of 1.5 lakh students who completed their degree courses in 147 colleges during 2022-2023.

“It is condemnable that the university is denying the recognition earned by the students by qualifying the examination. The examination results were released in June. The certificate should have been given within a few days of declaring the result. 6 months have passed. Despite this, no reason has been given. Colleges and universities are blaming each other,” he said.

He said most of the students would pursue higher education and join other jobs. Despite obtaining higher education and job opportunities, students are unable to take the next step due to lack of certification. “Those behind the delay must be identified and action must be taken.

Since the admission of students pursuing higher studies will be cancelled, the university should immediately take measures to provide certificates,” he urged.
