Ranbir Kapoor ready for another great opener with Animal

Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead with Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna, has taken a stellar start in advance bookings on Saturday. Within 12 hours of the start of ticket sales across three national chains – PVRinox and Cinepolis – the gangster drama has already sold over 36,000 tickets and is expected to sell over 50,000 tickets in 24 hours. Animal has got its best opening ever at the box office, besting Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra which sold 30,000 tickets in the first 24 hours. Bookings in 24 hours are almost 60 per cent better than Brahmastra, and if the trend continues, the film could move overall north of 4 lakh tickets across the three national chains by Thursday night. The film Sandeep Reddy Vanga has sold around 30,000 tickets at PVRinox, while around 6,000 tickets are estimated to be sold at Cinepolis. Bookings have also started on some single screens and the response has been fantastic across the board, to say the least. These bookings have taken place for most of the day without any official announcement, and this momentum is expected to continue on Sunday as well, with a high probability of Animal approaching the 1 lakh mark in just 36 hours in this cycle.
