Ranu Sahu gets bail from Supreme Court
Raipur: Two big accused of coal scam in Chhattisgarh have got a big relief from the Supreme Court. On Monday, the Supreme Court has approved interim bail of suspended IAS Ranu Sahu and Dipesh Tank. Both have been granted interim bail till August 7. Ranu Sahu has been in jail for a long time.

FIR has been registered against suspended IAS Ranu Sahu, Sameer Bishnoi and suspended RPSC officer Saumya Chaurasia. These cases have been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act. FIRs have been registered against all three in separate cases.
Confirmation of having assets disproportionate to income – Let us tell you, the EOW has confirmed that Saumya Chaurasia and her family have 29 immovable properties worth Rs 9 crore 20 lakh. Here, Ranu Sahu has been accused of buying immovable properties worth about four crore rupees in her own name and in the name of family members from 2015 to 2022. While her total salary from the time she joined the service till 2022 is said to be Rs 92 lakh.
