Ranu Sahu’s bail application rejected by High Court

Bilaspur. The High Court has rejected the bail application of suspended Chhattisgarh IAS Ranu Sahu. After this decision of the High Court, Ranu Sahu will have to remain in jail for the time being. After hearing the case on January 7, the single bench of Justice Narendra Kumar Vyas had reserved the decision, the order on which was given on Thursday. IAS Ranu Sahu is in jail in the coal scam case. Earlier the lower court had rejected his petition.

During the last hearing in the High Court, the ED lawyer had talked about presenting some more facts. After this, the hearing date was fixed for January 8. Ranu Sahu was arrested by ED on 22 July 2023.

Let us tell you that in the year 2022, the Income Tax Department had first raided Ranu Sahu’s official residence, house and office regarding the coal case. After which ED raided Ranu’s house in this case and has been calling her for questioning for a long time. ED has accused Ranu Sahu in the alleged coal scam that suspended IAS Ranu Sahu was found involved in the coal levy case while he was Korba Collector.
