Rape accused arrested, police nabbed within 4 hours of complaint

Mahasamund: The rape accused was arrested within 4 hours of the complaint. According to the information, a report was lodged by the applicant that the time of the incident was 27/08/2023 at 10-45 pm, in the toilet village Badedabha near the applicant’s house along with the accused Yashwant Kosaria, father Parmanand Kosaria, age 17 years and 05 months. Forcedly raped by 19 year old resident Badedabha. On the basis of which report, crime number 457/2023, section 376(2)(n) IPC and 6 POCSO Act was registered against the accused in Basna police station and taken into consideration.

During the investigation, a team was formed to arrest the accused and the accused Yashwant Kosaria resident of Badedabha was taken into custody and interrogated. On the date and time of the incident, the accused Yashwant Kosaria, father Parmanand Kosaria, age 19 years, resident of Badedabha police station, Basna district, Mahasamund, confessed to having committed the crime. The accused was duly arrested at 20-40 hrs on 29/08/2023 and presented in the court on judicial remand.
