Rape, threat of murder and then marriage with another girl, Facebook friend arrested
Raigarh. Chakradharnagar police took swift action in a serious case of crime against women and arrested Shribachchh Bhoy (26 years), resident of village Kensara Deepapara, police station Pusaur, and sent him on judicial remand. The incident started in the year 2022, when the accused and the girl started talking after introduction on Facebook. During chatting, mobile numbers were exchanged and their relationship deepened. On 14 February 2022, the accused called the girl to his rented room (behind Balaji Flax, Beladula) by luring her with marriage and had physical relations with her. After this, the accused exploited the girl several times. The girl told in the complaint that in October 2024, Shribachchh refused to marry and fixed marriage with someone else. During this, the accused also threatened the girl that if she told anyone in this regard or contacted the police, she would be killed. On the complaint of the girl, Chakradharnagar police registered a case under section 69 BNS against the accused under crime number 563/24 and started investigation. On the basis of evidence and witness statements, sections 64 (D) and 351 (3) were also added against the accused. Police team led by SHO Prashant Rao raided village Kensara and took the accused into custody. During interrogation, Shribachch confessed his crime.
Chakradharnagar police arrested the accused and sent him on judicial remand today. Inspector Prashant Rao, Assistant Sub-Inspector Nand Kumar Sarathi, Saraswati Mahapatra, Head Constable Mahendra Karsh played an important role in the quick action in the case.
