Ravana in the form of polythene was burnt in Raipur

Raipur. Today, on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, Ravana in the form of polythene was burnt by Green Army organization as per every year this year also. Media in-charge Shashikant Yadu said that even after the single use polythene ban, it is being used indiscriminately. This is the reason why city residents are facing many diseases and problems.

Green Army organization is continuously organizing protests, dharnas, rallies and symposiums with the aim of spreading awareness among the city residents and curbing the use of single use plastic. Its main objective is to reduce the use of single use plastic after the ban by the government administration. The reins have to be tightened.

In this series, today on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, after worshiping Maa Durga established by Green Army at Dubey Chowk Brahman Para, a grand rally was taken out in protest against single use polythene.

This rally reached Kankali Temple from Brahman Para Chowk via Satti Bazaar Favwara Chowk, Bajrang Temple. Where Shastra Pooja was performed in the armory house of Mata Kankali, which is open only one day in a year, after that the rally ended at Azad Chowk where Ravana in the form of polythene was burnt symbolically by the organization. After the burning, refreshments were organized and the polythene was burnt. Slogans for ban continued to be raised. Organization President Mr. Mohan Valyani was mainly present during the entire rally.

Organization founder Mr. Amitabh Dubey expressed his gratitude to the city residents and organization members present for the success of the grand rally.
