Raveena Tandon was bitten by crab, snake, scorpion while shooting for ‘One Friday Night’
Mumbai (IANS). Animal lover actress Raveena Tandon rescued a snake, a crab and a scorpion while shooting for the upcoming film ‘One Friday Night’ directed by Manish Gupta.
The shooting location of Manish Gupta’s film ‘One Friday Night’ was atop a secluded hillock in a remote forested area surrounded by the beautiful Pavana Lake in Maharashtra. He rescued a snake that had entered the bungalow he had rented for his stay during the shoot.
Director Manish Gupta revealed, “The presence of the snake at her place might have scared other people, but Raveena kept herself calm, called the forest department and rescued the snake using her contacts.”
He also told about another incident, when the actress was shooting for an outdoor scene where Raveena had to wade through puddles of water, someone spotted a crab hiding on the wet ground. The crew rescues Raveena and proceeds to kill the crab.
The director further added, “But, Raveena stopped him and asked her bodyguard to catch the crab with the help of an umbrella, leaving it at a distance in a marsh of grass.”
On another occasion, director Manish Gupta had a large black scorpion near his feet just below his chair. But seeing that the director was wearing heavy trekking shoes, Raveena knew she was safe. She didn’t alert the director as she knew he would get scared on seeing such a poisonous creature, she didn’t want the director or the scorpion to hurt each other. So, he waited for Manish to get up from the seat and then quietly asked the crew member to drive away the scorpion.
Manish Gupta’s ‘One Friday Night’, which also stars Milind Soman and Vidhi Chitalia, is touted to be a relationship drama in the lines of a Hitchcock-esque suspense film.
