RCB bring in Wayne Parnell and Vishak Vijay Kumar in place of Reece Topley and Rajat Patidar
New Delhi (IANS) | Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have picked up Wayne Parnell and Vishak Vijay Kumar as replacements for Reece Topley and Rajat Patidar for the remainder of the IPL 2023 season.
Topley suffered a shoulder injury while fielding in RCB’s first match of the season against Mumbai Indians.
Rajat Patidar missed RCB’s first match of the season due to a heel injury. He is yet to recover from it and has been ruled out of the rest of the tournament season.
Parnell has represented South Africa in 56 T20Is, six Tests and 73 ODIs. He has 59 wickets in T20. He has played 26 matches in IPL. He will join RCB for a price of Rs 75 lakh.
Vishak Vijay Kumar, who replaced Patidar, has represented Karnataka in domestic cricket. He has taken 22 wickets in 14 T20s. He will join RCB for a price of Rs 20 lakh.
