Ready to go to jail for pizza, pointed gun at delivery boy
Pune: A Pune businessman was so upset with the delay in getting his pizza that he allegedly fired a gun at the delivery boy. At present, the accused has been arrested by the police. It is reported that the delivery boy did not suffer any injury in the incident. However, he has alleged that the businessman also attacked his hands. The police is investigating the matter
The 27-year-old businessman has been identified as Chetan Vasant Padwal. Police say that the accused ordered pizza online at 10.30 pm on Monday night. At that time the manager accepted the order and scheduled Rahul Ghorpade for delivery. Rishikesh had also gone to Annapurna along with Ghorpade for delivery. The incident took place at Ozone Vilas Society located in Wagholi.
The associate manager had filed a complaint in this matter. According to the complaint, the delivery boy arrived with the order at 11 o’clock. During that time, there was an argument between the businessman and the delivery boy over the late delivery of food and at around 11.15 he opened fire. Police arrested the businessman on Tuesday evening.
It has also been complained that Chetan abused Ghorpade and Annapurna and also hit Ghorpade on his hands. When the delivery boy and Annapurne intervened, the businessman came out of the house and took out a gun from the car. The police officer said that he also fired in the air to scare the delivery boy.
According to Senior Police Inspector Vishwajit Kaingade, investigation has revealed that the accused fired in the air from a licensed gun. He said, ‘Our team reached the spot immediately after the incident and arrested the accused.’ A case has been registered against Chetan under sections 308, 504 of the Indian Penal Code and the investigation is ongoing.
