BJP’s Naina Nagendran targets the government over the lack of medical facilities.

Tamil Nadu Tamil Nadu: BJP state president Naina Nagendran has made strong remarks on Wednesday regarding the lack of government health services in Tamil Nadu. He said that the government is cheating the poor people who had trusted and voted for the party. The reaction came after a tragic incident at the Community Health Hospital in Kannagi Nagar, Chennai, in which a pregnant woman’s baby died in the womb due to shortage of doctors.
Naina Nagendran said in a statement released on the Avarex website that it is extremely shocking that a life was lost due to lack of medical facilities in the government hospital located in the capital of Tamil Nadu. He asked Chief Minister Joseph Vijay what solace he would give to a mother who lost her child in the womb.
The BJP state president also questioned the policies and inspection procedures of officials and ministers. He said that if the officers, who are busy recording videos of inspections daily and making them public, had done their job responsibly, such loss of lives could have been prevented. He said that mere show and reporting is not enough, but it is necessary to ensure real improvement and convenience.
Naina Nagendran accused the government of cheating the poor people. He clarified that the public had voted with confidence and it was the duty of the government to ensure access to health services and adequate doctors. He said that necessary facilities should be immediately made available in all government medical institutions of Tamil Nadu. It is important to have adequate doctors, modern equipment and proper arrangements for emergency services.
He also said that no laxity in the care of pregnant women can be tolerated. If proper facilities were made available on time, not only could the death of children in the womb be prevented, but the survival of the mother could also be ensured. He made it clear that the lack and negligence of the government health system is directly affecting the lives of the poor and needy people.
Naina Nagendran’s statement made it clear that the BJP state unit is monitoring Tamil Nadu’s health policy and its implementation and reacting strongly to such incidents. He appealed to the public to keep this issue in mind and demand better health services from the government.
The incident has highlighted the need to reform Tamil Nadu’s health system. Experts and political leaders say that the biggest need of the hour is to provide adequate doctors, better emergency management and modern medical equipment in government hospitals.
